BEACON Act of 2026 establishes grant programs for research on neurorehabilitation treatments for veterans with mild traumatic brain injury.

The BEACON Act of 2026 directs the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to establish two grant programs for research on treatments for veterans with mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI). The TBI Innovation Grant Program will award grants to eligible entities for developing, implementing, and evaluating neurorehabilitation treatments. The research grant program will award grants for studies on TBI treatments. The Secretary must prioritize entities with experience in effective mTBI treatments. The research grant program will be administered by an independent third-party organization.
