Adjusts financial regulatory thresholds to account for economic growth and mandates periodic updates.
The Tailoring and Indexing Enhanced Regulations Act of 2025 (TIER Act of 2025) amends the Financial Stability Act of 2010 to adjust financial regulatory thresholds based on increases in the current-dollar United States gross domestic product (GDP). The Board of Governors must publish these adjustments in the Federal Register by April 5 of each year. The new thresholds take effect on January 1 of the following year. The act also mandates that the Board of Governors, the Comptroller of the Currency, and the Corporation review and adjust thresholds every five years, starting by June 30, 2026.
