The Rural Uplift and Revitalization Assistance Act provides technical assistance to underserved and distressed rural areas.

The Rural Uplift and Revitalization Assistance Act mandates the Secretary of Agriculture to offer technical assistance to local partners in rural areas deemed underserved and distressed. These areas include socially vulnerable communities, persistent poverty counties, economically distressed regions, and areas lacking adequate water, sewer services, or decent housing near the U.S.-Mexico border. The Secretary must annually report on the impact of this assistance.
