Limits U.S. engagement with Mexico unless it provides water as per the Colorado River Treaty.
The Ensuring Predictable and Reliable Water Deliveries Act of 2025 mandates the Secretary of State to report annually on Mexico's water deliveries under the Colorado River Treaty. If Mexico fails to deliver the required water, the President must deny non-treaty requests from Mexico, except for emergencies vital to U.S. interests. The Act also allows for limiting or terminating engagement with Mexico in sectors dependent on U.S. water, excluding counter-drug efforts.
