Farm Transitions Act of 2025 reauthorizes the Commission on Farm Transitions-Needs for 2050.

The Farm Transitions Act of 2025 amends the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 to reauthorize the Commission on Farm Transitions-Needs for 2050. The commission will study leasing and ownership trends, including those by foreign persons or entities, and make recommendations relating to heirs' property and succession of agricultural land. It will also examine barriers faced by historically underserved and women farmers and ranchers in transferring, inheriting, or purchasing agricultural assets, including land. The commission will report its findings and recommendations to Congress.
