Commercial Motor Vehicle English Proficiency Act mandates English language proficiency for commercial motor vehicle operators.

The Commercial Motor Vehicle English Proficiency Act requires individuals to demonstrate English language proficiency to pass a knowledge test and receive certification to operate a commercial motor vehicle. Effective two years after enactment, tests must be administered in English only. The Secretary of Transportation must modify regulations to implement these changes.
