The Rotorcraft Operations Transparency and Oversight Reform Act, also known as the ROTOR Act, mandates that all aircraft be equipped with Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast In (ADS-B In) to enhance aviation safety. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) must issue a final rule requiring ADS-B In equipment for aircraft operating in certain airspaces. The FAA Administrator is tasked with conducting safety reviews of military, law enforcement, and civilian aircraft operations in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area.
