The Chip Equipment Quality, Usefulness, and Integrity Protection Act of 2025, or Chip EQUIP Act, prohibits purchases of certain semiconductor manufacturing equipment from foreign entities of concern or their subsidiaries. The bill amends the William M. (Mac) Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 to include prohibitions on the procurement, installation, or use of ineligible semiconductor manufacturing equipment in agreements with covered entities for federal financial assistance.
