The Lowering Drug Costs for American Families Act expands the drug price negotiation program under the Social Security Act, increasing the number of drugs subject to negotiation from 20 to 50. It repeals certain changes to the program made by Public Law 119–21. The Act also applies prescription drug inflation rebates under the Medicare program to drugs furnished in the commercial market.
