The Strategic Task Force on Scam Prevention Act mandates the Federal Trade Commission, in collaboration with the Department of Justice, to establish an interagency task force. This task force will develop and implement a national strategy to combat scams, including strategies to reduce financial losses and improve recovery resources for victims. The task force will include representatives from various federal agencies and will consult with consumer advocacy organizations, industry sectors, and state and local law enforcement.
