The Student Veteran Work Study Modernization Act establishes a pilot program to expand eligibility for a work-study allowance paid by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs. This allowance is extended to individuals pursuing programs of rehabilitation, education, or training on at least a half-time basis. The pilot program will run for five years, and the Secretary must submit annual reports to Congress on the number of participating veterans, the percentage obtaining a four-year degree, and the number securing full-time work at the Department of Veterans Affairs.
