The CATCH IT Act increases the federal share of costs for rural health facilities to buy or upgrade preventative health care equipment through the Community Facilities Grant Program of the Department of Agriculture. The equipment includes advanced breast imaging, mobile cancer screening units, laboratory equipment for multi-cancer early detection, colorectal cancer screening equipment, computerized tomography scanners, and diagnostic ultrasound equipment. The amendments take effect on the first day of the first federal fiscal year that begins after the enactment of this Act.
