Watershed Protection and Forest Recovery Act of 2025 authorizes emergency watershed protection measures on National Forest System land.

The Watershed Protection and Forest Recovery Act of 2025 amends the Agricultural Credit Act of 1978 to authorize the Secretary of Agriculture to carry out emergency watershed protection measures on National Forest System land. These measures address runoff retardation, soil-erosion prevention, and flood mitigation following natural disasters or occurrences that impair natural resources. The Secretary can enter agreements with sponsors, including state or local governments, Indian Tribes, and water districts, to execute these measures.
