Marine Energy Technologies Acceleration Act aims to boost U.S. competitiveness in marine energy by funding research, development, and demonstration.

The Marine Energy Technologies Acceleration Act establishes a Marine Energy Acceleration Fund to support various marine energy initiatives. The Secretary of Energy will launch workforce development programs in partnership with relevant entities. The fund will finance research and development projects, upgrades to facilities, and marine energy demonstration projects that export power to grids. It will also support technical resource assessments and convene a task force to identify and address barriers to marine energy project development.
