Emergency Responder Protection Act limits immigration officers' authority at emergency response locations.

The Emergency Responder Protection Act amends the Immigration and Nationality Act to restrict immigration officers' actions at protected emergency response locations. These locations include areas within 1,000 feet of active natural disasters, human-caused events, emergency declarations, or sites providing emergency supplies, shelter, or disaster-related assistance. Enforcement actions are prohibited unless under exigent circumstances, such as imminent risk of death, violence, or physical harm.
