Enhances northern border security by updating threat analysis and strategy every two years and requiring classified briefings.
The Northern Border Security Enhancement and Review Act amends the Northern Border Security Review Act to require the Secretary of Homeland Security to update the northern border threat analysis starting September 2, 2026, and every two years thereafter. Within 90 days of each threat analysis submission, the Secretary must update the northern border strategy. If no update is needed, the Secretary must notify the appropriate congressional committees. Additionally, the Secretary must provide classified briefings on the threat analysis to these committees within 30 days of each submission.
