Federal HB5512, known as the "No Shari’a Act," aims to prevent U.S. courts from applying Shari'a or any foreign law that conflicts with constitutional rights. The Act prohibits courts from enforcing judgments, decrees, or arbitration decisions that rely on such laws. It also ensures that contracts choosing foreign law remain valid unless enforcement would violate constitutional rights. The Attorney General, in consultation with the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, will issue regulations and provide judicial education to ensure uniform application of this Act.
