The Family and Medical Insurance Leave Act establishes a national family and medical leave insurance program. The program provides paid family and medical leave benefits to eligible individuals. The Social Security Administration will administer the program through the Office of Paid Family and Medical Leave. The bill defines "qualified caregiving" as any activity engaged in by an individual, other than regular employment, for a qualifying reason.
