The STOP FRAUD in Medicaid Act amends title XIX of the Social Security Act to direct state Medicaid fraud control units to investigate and prosecute instances of beneficiary fraud. The changes include expanding the scope of fraud investigations to cover the application for and receipt of Medicaid services, in addition to the provision of such services. The amendments will take effect 180 days after the enactment of this Act.
