The AWARE Act mandates the Federal Trade Commission to create educational resources for parents, educators, and minors on safe AI chatbot use.

The AWARE Act, or AI Warnings And Resources for Education Act, requires the Federal Trade Commission to develop educational resources within 180 days of enactment. These resources will inform parents, educators, and minors about safe and responsible AI chatbot use, including identifying safe and unsafe practices, understanding privacy and data collection, and offering best practices for parental supervision. The Commission will base these resources on the existing Youville program.
