Secure Trade Act imposes additional duties on imports and modifies tariffs for Chinese goods.

The Secure Trade Act imposes a 10 percent ad valorem duty on all imports into the United States, in addition to any other duties. It also modifies tariffs for goods from China, increasing duties for certain articles to counteract reliance on Chinese imports or penalize unfair practices. The President can establish quotas to reduce reliance on Chinese imports and may prohibit imports if they threaten U.S. national security. The Act mandates the valuation of Chinese merchandise based on U.S. market prices and requires the U.S.
