Afghan Adjustment Act provides conditional permanent resident status to certain Afghans who supported U.S. missions in Afghanistan.

The Afghan Adjustment Act grants conditional permanent resident status to eligible Afghans who supported U.S. missions in Afghanistan. It allows for the waiver of certain inadmissibility grounds for humanitarian purposes or to ensure family unity. The Act also establishes a process for Afghans to apply for refugee status and be referred to the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program. It extends the special immigrant visa program for Afghans through 2029 and increases the annual cap to 10,000 visas.
