The PROTECT USA Act of 2025 aims to prevent U.S. entities integral to national interests from complying with foreign sustainability due diligence regulations. These regulations require assessments of environmental or social impacts and reporting. The Act allows entities to comply if doing so is required by U.S. law or is part of ordinary business activities. It also prohibits adverse actions against entities for compliance with this Act and provides a private right of action for violations.
