The Sturgeon Conservation and Sustainability Act of 2025 amends the Endangered Species Act of 1973 to allow certain activities with sturgeon held in captivity or in controlled environments. This includes farmed sturgeon legally held in captivity or controlled environments as of the enactment date, until they are intentionally returned to a wild state. The bill also requires individuals holding such sturgeon to demonstrate their status and maintain required inventories and documentation.
