H.R.3457

Establishes a feral swine eradication and control program to address threats to agriculture, ecosystems, and health.

The bill amends the Food Security Act of 1985 to establish a feral swine eradication and control program. The Secretary of Agriculture will oversee the program, which aims to respond to the threat feral swine pose to agriculture, native ecosystems, and human and animal health. The Secretary will study and assess the damage caused by feral swine in designated threatened areas. The program will involve contracts with land-grant colleges and universities to develop control and eradication methods, restore damage, and provide financial assistance to agricultural producers.
