The Venezuela TPS Act of 2025 designates Venezuela for temporary protected status under the Immigration and Nationality Act, allowing eligible Venezuelan nationals to stay in the U.S. for 18 months. Eligible individuals must have been continuously present in the U.S. since the act's enactment and register for temporary protected status. The Secretary of Homeland Security can permit travel abroad under certain conditions and may waive associated fees. Returning Venezuelans are treated like other temporary protected status holders.
