Child Care Workforce Development Act authorizes a loan assistance program for early childhood educators.

The Child Care Workforce Development Act authorizes the Secretary of Health and Human Services to implement a loan assistance program for early childhood educators. Under this program, eligible educators can receive up to $6,000 per year for their educational loan repayments in exchange for a commitment to serve as early childhood educators for at least five years. The bill also allows for hardship extensions of up to one year for those unable to find employment in a licensed early learning program.
