The Arctic Refuge Protection Act repeals the oil and gas program in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, Alaska, as established by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. It designates approximately 1,559,538 acres of the Arctic coastal plain as a component of the National Wilderness Preservation System. The Secretary of the Interior will administer this area in accordance with the Wilderness Act. This action aims to preserve the area's natural ecosystems for the benefit of current and future generations.
