The Addressing Boarding and Crowding in the Emergency Department Act of 2025 amends the Public Health Service Act to allow certain public health data modernization grants to be used for tracking hospital bed capacity. It mandates the development of state- or region-wide, real-time systems to monitor hospital capacity, emergency department boarding rates, wait times for treatment, and the time emergency medical services personnel wait to offload patients.
