The WISE Act, or Working for Immigrant Safety and Empowerment Act, aims to remove barriers to immigration status for non-citizen survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and other crimes. It provides protections and relief for these survivors, including the ability to apply for U visas, T visas, and special immigrant juvenile status. The Act also allows for parole for U visa petitioners and their qualifying family members, and it prohibits the removal of certain victims with pending or approved petitions.
