The PLAN for Broadband Act directs the Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Communications and Information to develop a National Strategy to Close the Digital Divide. The Strategy must support better management of Federal broadband programs to deliver high-speed, affordable broadband internet access service to all individuals in the United States. The Assistant Secretary must also develop and submit an Implementation Plan to Congress within 120 days of submitting the Strategy.
