The Youth Mental Health Research Act establishes a Youth Mental Health Research Initiative within the National Institutes of Health. This initiative will coordinate and encourage collaborative research among national research institutes and centers. The research will focus on social, behavioral, cognitive, and developmental aspects to build resilience and improve the capacity of communities to identify and care for at-risk or crisis-affected youth.
