The Eastern Band of Cherokee Historic Lands Reacquisition Act takes certain federal lands in Tennessee into trust for the benefit of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. The Tennessee Valley Authority must submit revised maps depicting the lands taken into trust. The lands are subject to a reasonable right of entry by the Tennessee Valley Authority for river control and development. The lands are used for memorializing and interpreting Cherokee history and culture, and for recreational activities.
