Shark depredation task force established to research and address shark interactions with humans.

The SHARKED Act of 2025 directs the Secretary of Commerce to establish a task force to address shark depredation. The task force will identify research priorities, develop management strategies, and coordinate educational materials for the fishing community. The bill amends the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act to include shark depredation research projects. The task force will submit reports to Congress and terminate seven years after establishment.
