Prevents closure of Social Security field offices and hearing offices and resident stations.

The Keeping Our Field Offices Open Act prevents the Commissioner of Social Security from closing or consolidating field or hearing offices or resident stations of the Social Security Administration or imposing new limitations on access to such offices or stations. Exceptions are made for temporary closures in response to emergencies. The moratorium on closures will cease 180 days after the Commissioner submits a report to Congress. The Commissioner must also comply with requirements for future closures, including public notice, hearings, and cost-benefit analysis.
