Reforms the civil investigative demand process of the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection.
The Civil Investigative Demand Reform Act of 2025 amends the Consumer Financial Protection Act of 2010 to reform the civil investigative demand process of the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection. It allows attorneys to submit questions about the scope or breadth of a demand and requires the Bureau to respond within 20 days. The Bureau can extend the return date and petition deadline if questions are submitted. The Act also allows for judicial review of the Bureau's denial of a petition to modify or set aside a demand.
