Prohibits the use or declaration of a public health emergency with respect to abortion and reinstates in-person dispensing requirement for abortion.
The Protecting Life from Chemical Abortions Act prohibits the Secretary of Health and Human Services from using or declaring any public health emergency with respect to abortion. It also terminates any such declaration in effect as of the date of enactment. The Act reinstates the requirement that abortion drugs be dispensed only in clinics, medical offices, and hospitals by or under the supervision of a certified health care provider. The Act defines "abortion" and "abortion drug" and mandates specific variables for abortion data collection.
