The President Jimmy Carter Congressional Gold Medal Act awards a Congressional Gold Medal posthumously to former President Jimmy Carter. The medal, designed by the Secretary of the Treasury, will be presented by the Speaker of the House and the President pro tempore of the Senate. After the presentation, the medal will be given to the Carter Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The Secretary may also create and sell bronze duplicates of the medal, with proceeds going to the United States Mint Public Enterprise Fund.
