Venezuelan Adjustment Act

The Venezuelan Adjustment Act allows Venezuelan nationals to apply for lawful permanent resident status.

The Venezuelan Adjustment Act authorizes the Secretary of Homeland Security to adjust the status of Venezuelan nationals who entered the U.S. before December 31, 2021, and have been continuously present for at least one year. Eligible applicants can apply for lawful permanent resident status within three years of the act's enactment. The act also allows eligible applicants to work in the U.S. while their application is pending and prohibits their removal while the application is under review. The act does not reduce the number of immigrant visas available under other provisions.
