Establishes a private right of action for U.S. citizens wrongfully detained by ICE without warrant or probable cause.
The Justice for Citizens Wrongfully Detained by ICE Act allows U.S. citizens who were arrested or detained by immigration officers or law enforcement enforcing immigration laws without a warrant or probable cause to sue for damages. The act waives sovereign immunity and officer immunity, and provides for damages, attorney's fees, and injunctive relief. It also rescinds certain immigration enforcement funds.
