The Community Health and Agricultural Research on Grid Exposure Act, also known as the CHARGE Act, mandates the National Institutes of Health to investigate the health impacts on humans and livestock, as well as the effects on crop yields, from 750-kilovolt or greater transmission lines. Upon study completion, the Secretary of Health and Human Services must submit a report to relevant congressional committees.
