Exempts qualified data center property from bonus depreciation under the Internal Revenue Code.
This bill amends the Internal Revenue Code to exclude qualified data center property from bonus depreciation. Qualified data center property includes property used in a covered data center or dedicated to its operation but located outside the center. A covered data center is a permanent or semipermanent structure with a power capacity over 50 megawatts, dedicated to data storage, processing, transport services, or artificial intelligence operations. The changes apply to property acquired in taxable years beginning after the enactment of this Act.
