The FORK Act of 2026 amends the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act to create a pilot program for awarding grants to service institutions. These grants will be used to purchase, retrofit, or repair vehicles for distributing noncongregate meals in summer. The program prioritizes areas with poor economic conditions, outside core-based statistical areas, and serving high proportions of socially disadvantaged students. Grants are limited to $100,000 for one year, with up to 10% for administrative expenses.
