The Healthy Meals Help Kids Learn Act of 2026 amends the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act and the Child Nutrition Act of 1966 to increase reimbursement rates for school meals. Specifically, it adds an additional 45 cents to each lunch served in school food authorities starting October 1, 2026, and an additional 28 cents to each breakfast served, including free, reduced price, and those not eligible for free or reduced price meals, also starting October 1, 2026. These amounts will be adjusted beginning July 1, 2027.
