H.R.7248

MARINA Act sets lease periods, rental amounts, and administrative fees for marinas at Corps of Engineers facilities.

The MARINA Act amends the Flood Control Act of 1944 to establish lease periods for marinas at Corps of Engineers facilities. It sets initial and renewal lease periods at 50 and 25 years, respectively. The Act requires the Secretary of the Army to establish a standardized fee schedule for administrative fees assessed to marina operators, with specific limitations on fee amounts for different activities. It also mandates the Secretary to issue a final rule within one year of enactment. The Act prohibits the Secretary from modifying existing leases except to implement the new requirements.
