Protects college athletes' name, image, and likeness rights.
The College Athletics Reform Act aims to protect the name, image, and likeness rights of college athletes. It prohibits intercollegiate athletic associations, conferences, and institutions from restricting athletes from receiving compensation for their name, image, or likeness, or taking adverse actions against them for doing so. It also bans these entities from requiring athletes to disclose the terms of their name, image, and likeness agreements. The bill establishes a Commission to Stabilize College Sports to study governance issues and make recommendations.
