The Border Operations Service Medal Act authorizes the Secretary of Defense to design and issue a Border Operations Service Medal to active-duty members of the Armed Forces and members of the National Guard and Reserve who served in designated border security operations between January 1, 2025, and the conclusion of such operations. The medal is intended to honor the service and commitment of these individuals, who participated in extensive security, humanitarian, and enforcement efforts.
