Establishes a fixed 18-year term for Supreme Court justices and limits them to one term.
The Supreme Court Tenure Establishment and Retirement Modernization Act of 2025 sets a fixed 18-year term for Supreme Court justices, after which they retire from active service. The President can only nominate justices during the first and third years following a Presidential election. Each justice can only serve one 18-year term. If a vacancy occurs, a retired justice can be temporarily appointed through a transparent process.
