The District of Columbia Council has approved a resolution authorizing the issuance of up to $25 million in revenue bonds to support the Society for Science in renovating a new Ward 2 location at 1776 Massachusetts Ave., NW, Washington, D.C. The bonds will cover costs related to the purchase, renovations, equipping, and furnishings of the building, as well as cost of issuance, reserves, and capitalized interest. The project is expected to begin in the summer of 2025 and be completed by January 2027.
