The Poplar Point Economic Development Anchor Disposition Act of 2026 authorizes the District of Columbia to lease approximately 15 acres at Poplar Point to Therme DC LLC for the development of a health and wellness facility. The lease will be for a term of more than 15 years, with an initial rent of $1 for the first 20 years, followed by annual increases based on the Consumer Price Index. The District will have no obligation to lease the property unless the Mayor and Therme DC LLC execute the transaction documents and meet the conditions.
